Marbled Murrelets in Olympia!

I will be presenting my program "Marbled Murrelets on the Brink" at the Black Hills Audubon Society in Olympia, Washington, Thursday night (October 10). Socializing begins at 7 and the program at 7:30. This program is free and open to everyone.

What's in it for you?

Cookies--some awkwardly alcid shaped! Photographs of the cryptic, secretive marbled murrelet--the "Enigma of the Pacific!" Camaraderie! Fellow birders & furloughed folk! Accidental Naturalists! Depressing population trends! A litany of threats to the Marbled Murrelet! Uplifting Launch of The Other HCP (Human Control Project) to reduce the threat of murrelet predators that love human trash! Q&A! Humor! Science! Learn how to use your smart phones to help murrelets!  Visit Black Hills without going to South Dakota!

Plus....I will have copies of the new Rare Bird in paperback from Mountaineers Books! Books are $15 (cash or check only) but inscriptions and signatures are free.

The presentation is in downtown Olympia at 701 Franklin Street (across from Olympia Print and Copy & Printing) in the First Christian Church meeting room.
